Planet Mersoon

During Mersoon Rising, visitors to Mersoon arrive at a space port on the east coast of the single continent. DOEs constructed the space port after they settled on the planet centuries before the period in the book. DOEs—Descendants of Earth—had hoped to colonize a small uninhabited planet in the early stages of formation. Millions of islands filling Mersoon's Ocean formed then disappeared as oceanic volcanoes and deep "rivers" gradually reformed the very core of Mersoon. But DOEs had encountered inhabitants so near to Earth humans, many began to believe either planet seeding was not just a theory, or that God's creation expanded far beyond the heavens and the Earth.
